BAM, that's right, this is a command block, ever seen it? No, ever heard of it? I didn't think so... We totally hit that goal of 200 likes that I stated in my last video, totally crushed it, yup.... -So here we're starting out on the set of my last video, you should check that out after this video if you want an awesome storage system, without the need for redstone, but today were gonna be looking at this bad boy, that's right, I'm sure you can figure out what it is just by looking at it. -Done guessing? You're all wrong, it's an Item Converter! Not only does this use a command block, but we're also using some basic redstone, why add redstone? Cause I feel like it, gosh...and also it just makes things a thousand times better -This machine uses 3 different redstone circuits, super easy stuff, but if ya need more help, I'm gonna explain them all separately, over by these 3 mysterious rooms -So whether you're chucking the items down a chute or just putting the items into a chest, at some point the items will end up in hoppers travelling down to the whole contraption, and this is where the 1st part helps out, this is an item filter, it'll make it so that whatever item you put in here, is the item you want converted to another item, and making this will allow only that item to pass through to activate it, otherwise someone could throw down dirt or sticks and get diamonds without having to use a gold block -The next circuit is the simplest of them all, the activator, it works in tandem with the previous one, every time an item is allowed to pass through, once it passes through this hopper, which this comparator is measuring, it will change the redstone signal from 1 to two, and extending it to power the command block, and this does it for every item, you can put 1 item, or 100s of items and it will give you the exact amount of converted items as you put in. A commentor in the last video reminded me that you don't even need a command to get the command block anymore, you can open up the operator tab, go to options, then controls, then click operator items tab, turn it on, and in your creative menu you'll have access to all of the developer items/blocks. -The last component is a simple Item Spitter, I had to modify the design that I found from a video I found on Youtube, the link to it will be in the description, but once an item gets into this dropper, this redstone line will continuously power the dropper to spit it out, here I have it being spit into lava, but if you want to have a hopper to catch it and put it into a chest, you can do that as well. If it's not obvious already this is just where the items that are not accepted into the system go, they're rerouted to somewhere else, to get stored or deleted. Check out mah fancy shmancy chart I made over here. Gold blocks to diamonds is always good, but maybe you would also wanna do special weapons or items, both the Trident or Mace or Elytra can sometimes just be annoying to find. Maybe you could do emerald trades for items that villagers don't trade for like prismarine. Or maybe you don't wanna wait for copper to oxidize or want to turn concrete powder into concrete. Plus if your server has the ability to use mob spawners, maybe you can do certain items to get mob spawn eggs so you can place mob spawners near your base and create automated farms out of them.
