Summer! We all love summer’s! The ideal time for riding our motorcycles. In most parts of the world I totally agree, but how is riding above 40 degrees Celsius (104 Fahrenheit), here in the United Arab Emirates? Many thanks for your support! http://bit.ly/spokewanderer Check also my Website www.spokewanderer.com Currently temperatures in the UAE, are in the coastal region between 36 degree Celsius (96 F) during the night, to up to 46 degree Celsius (115 F) at full sunshine. Coastal region you got on top of the heat, a rather high humidity. So the temperature feeling is much higher than actual. I organized 2 devices to measure the temperatures. The Uni-T ambient & humidity device and from Bosch an infrared thermometer. Where my motorcycle is parked, I measured the ambient temperature of 39 degrees Celsius (102 F) with around 40 % humidity, at 6:30 AM. When I measured the bike’s temperature it was on cozy 40 degrees – before staring the engine! Once I started, the ambient temperature shown on the bike was around 37 degrees Celsius and it was actually pleasant feeling. When I reached the destination that I like to film, it was shortly after 7:30 AM. In the video you will see several temperature checks, ambient and on the bike and I have to say: The bike can truly cope with this heat. On the other hand, we as riders, come rather fast to our limitations. Is this because of the gear we use? Maybe, maybe not. But see for yourself!
