Can You Autumn Scarify Your Lawn In Drought ?

This is my first official lawn scarification of the Autumn period. We have had an unbelievable dry, drought-stressed period and to top it off there has been a hose pipe ban enforced. Should we scarify? Ordinarily, I would be saying NO! However, the timing was good for this lawn. I have begun to see a dew forming in the mornings over the last 2 weeks, leading to some slow but small amounts of recovery in the lawns I treat. Additionally, there is around a week's worth of rain forecast for the week after this was recorded which would aid in the recovery. Recovery from scarifying usually takes 4 to 6 weeks, but that is only when the lawn receives water/moisture regularly to help. We did have everything against us on this scarify, however, mother nature has been kind and offered a helping hand. #whentoscarify #canyouscarifyinsummer #autumnscarify
