I'm an associate principal and director of virtual design and construction at Shop Architects. I've been a CATIA user for 11 years now, and a 3DEXPERIENCE Platform on Cloud User for 6 years. I believe we were the first people on the cloud tenant, as a beta test. Shop is about making great spaces, we're very much invested in the built environment and the quality of the built environment. We leverage technology to deliver our projects efficiently on time, on budget, and at a very high quality. Many of our flagship projects from the Barclays Center, to the Nassau Coliseum, to the Botswana Innovation Hub, they couldn't be delivered any other way, besides the Dassault Systèmes Platform. CATIA has transformed the way that we work, the tools that were traditionally available to us for the AEC industry for coordinating and delivering our projects, are set up in a way that is very inefficient for communication, and CATIA is a centralized tool where we can coordinate vast amounts of data, amongst all the trades, at a very high resolution. We're moving directly from concept models to fabrication models, to the digital twin, directly to delivery, to manufacturing. We're incredibly excited about xGenerative Design. The barrier of entry is very low, it's a web-based application that leverages cloud computing. Designers throughout our office are able to iterate through complex parametric solutions very quickly, through a visual scripting language which is very accessible. It's democratizing the parametric design process, which plugs directly into our robust CATIA workflow of design to directed manufacturing. #3DEXPERIENCE
