My grandfather should have been around my age now when he wore this Cyma Navistar, perhaps in the 60's. I tried to have the watch restored in Thailand where there is good access to watch parts but the watch was returned with no chance to find parts. The original movement still runs but the crown stem and fork parts are missing, as well as the hands and crystal. The dial would need to be refurbished, which is also possible with the watchmaker in Bangkok. A few years later I found the exact watch secondhand, in great condition. The dial looks lighter but perhaps it is because no child got hold of it. The crystal clamp ring is bigger and not a golden type as on the original watch. Anyway, the replacement Cyma should stay untouched. Even the flexi Cyma strap is in excellent condition.
