Good day friends! We are heading to one of the most visited places here – Café Alicia. Cafe Alicia, located on the Pamplona-Santa Catalina highway, is not just a cafe, but a tourist spot. Everywhere you look, there are breathtaking views from everywhere. It is also home to the mountain chapel of the Holy Trinity. It is a very beautiful place to hold a wedding. On the hillside are container houses. You can admire the beautiful view from the comfort of your room. Pamplona is a municipality in the province of Negros Oriental, located about 50 kilometers from the city of Dumaguete. Pamplona is mostly agriculture, and livestock farming. There are many coconut plantations and fields of sugar cane and corn. In the middle of the plantation stands a simple Filipino house with a thatch roof. The place is peaceful and serene. Imagine waking up in the morning surrounded by beautiful nature just a short walk from a majestic mountain river. Cascades of clear water and coconut palms on the banks. It all looks like a tropical paradise that can only be seen in movies. People enjoy swimming in the cool water. Boria said he was really lucky. Many people dream of a place like the Philippines, and he is one of the lucky ones who have been able to make that dream come true. We've been subscribed to Sergei, Ivan and Mumai's channel for a long time. It is called "Father and Son" and we have followed their adventures and the difficulties of moving to another country. Now they are slowly building their future here in the Philippines and we are happy for them. We said goodbye to our new friends and headed to the city of Dumaguete. Tomorrow begins the very long journey back to Mindanao. Early in the morning, we took a traysickle to the port of Dumaguete. There we will transfer to the ferry going to Dapitan. The trip to the island of Mindanao will take about three and a half hours. Then it will take us about 20 hours to travel overland to Davao City. There are several ferries running from Dumaguete to Dapitan and back. Our FastCat ferry leaves at 8am. We chose an economy class seat for 552 pesos each. We're getting farther and farther away from Negros Island. It's a beautiful place. Boria is happy for his fellow countrymen who have made this island their home. But there is something about Mindanao that is very close to his heart. We are sure that we too will find a place there to build our future. The small island of Apo is known for its snorkeling spots. It is home to one of the world's most famous underwater sanctuaries. It is home to over 650 species of fish and over 400 corals. The first floor of the ferry accommodates cars and motorcycles. They are securely strapped in. I felt seasick and tried to sleep. Our ferry is heading south at full speed. It's about 1,000 kilometers from here to the equator. We were lucky enough to see a pack of dolphins. I'm glad and cheered up a bit. And finally, the island of Mindanao showed up in the distance. We are so excited. Soon we will be on land and continue our journey home. We arrived at the port of Dapitan. The ferries that came from other islands have already gathered here. It is interesting to watch the ferry crew. Someone is throwing the rope while others are coordinating the mooring to the pier. We were so surprised that one man recognized us. Turns out it was the captain of the very same ferry we had just disembarked from. From Dapitan, we traveled to the town of Dipolog, where the bus terminal is located. From there, we traveled to Cagayan de Oro. The trip would take about 9 hours. I thought the ferry rides on this trip were over, but we are back at the port. To shorten the journey, the bus will be transported with us on a barge across Panggil Bay. When we arrived in Cagayan de Oro, we transferred to a multicab to get to another bus station where buses to Davao depart from. After a tiring journey, we finally arrived home. We know that this is just the beginning of our journey of a lifetime. We will meet many more interesting people from different parts of the country. We will learn more about the culture and traditions of different islands. And we will be happy to share our impressions with you, our dear friends.
