Recently Korea launched the Nuri Space Launch Vehicle, the first successful launch of a domestically produced rocket. Over 300 Korean companies have participated in creating the different components of Nuri and makes South Korea the seventh country in the world to develop a space launch vehicle capable of carrying a payload over 1 ton. Completed in 2009, the Naro Space Center has two launch platforms along with the Naro Space Science Museum. At the Naro Space Science Museum, you can learn about Korea’s space program along with Korea’s future space endeavors such as a lunar landing module in 2031. We also visit the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in Suncheon on Day 2 of the trip.
