Practicing Wheel Landings in a Piper Super Cub (LSZI)

Tail wheel conversion at my flying club is done in two stages. You are first released to land on grass runways. You then must complete a minimum of 50 solo landings before you can start the second phase which releases you to land on pavement. The reason for this is that the wheels stick more on pavement so the risk of ground looping is much higher. Thus my club wants you to have built up some experience on grass which is more forgiving of mistakes. I was cleared to land on grass last year, have made a lot more than 50 landings and am confident enough that I want to continue my training so I have started lessons to get my release to land on pavement. So far I have only been taught how to do 3 point landings. This is the norm here in Switzerland and the vast majority of tail dragger pilots only do 3 point landings here. Prior to doing the pavement training I wanted to first learn how to do wheel landings. My main reason for this is so that I have more options and to build more confidence. After a couple of lessons I was allowed to do wheel landings solo and this is a video of my second solo flight practicing wheel landings on the grass runway at Fricktal Schupfart (LSZI) aerodrome. The aircraft is HB-PLQ hired from the Motorfluggruppe Fricktal.
