Three different types of collision

Examine the different collisions both from the point of view of momentum and energy. Does the momentum of the system remain constant for each of the three collisions? Are there any collisions where the mechanical energy of the system is constant before versus after? Are there any collisions where the mechanical energy of the system is less after the collision as compared to before? Collisions where the mechanical energy of the system remains constant are called elastic. Collisions where the mechanical energy decreases are called partially elastic or inelastic. Inelastic collisions are the extreme end where the objects stick together, and the most mechanical energy is lost. Categorize the collisions as elastic, partially elastic or inelastic.
