A How-To: Finishing Off a No-Clasp, Knotted Necklace

Hello Beaders + Crafters! In this video, you will learn how to finish off a knotted necklace with no clasp. A more detailed video on the tweezer knotting method can be found on our "How-To: Knotting with Tweezers and Ending with Clamshell Bead Tips + Clasp" video. I will be showing you how to do finishing technique using 6mm semiprecious stones and size 6 Griffin nylon cord. My beads, when lined up before knotting, equaled a length of about 32 inches. REMINDER: You want your necklace to have a final measurement of 28+ inches to be able to pull over your head smoothly. Materials needed for this project are: 28+ inches or More of Beads Packet of Nylon or Silk Griffin Cord (size will depend on your beads, see our "How To: Knotting with Tweezers and Ending with Clamshell Bead Tips + Clasp" video to figure out cording sizing) Typically nylon is used for knotting glass and some semiprecious, while silk is used on pearls. Knotting Tweezers Hypo Cement or Similar Glue Scissors or Cutters Beading Mat or Towel to keep beads from rolling around as you work All of these materials can be found in our shop in Carrboro, North Carolina. Otherwise, some are listed on our website at www.fireflycarrboro.com Happy Beading!!
