The impact of planting trees has a massive effect on climate change. This humble university student from the American University of Kurdistan has done a study about the Kurdistan region and discusses why it is critical to eliminate deforestation to combat global warming effects. He dives not only into what a tree symbolizes, which is life and growth, but how said green creatures can potentially save lives, the environment, and even the planet. As a concerned young individual in his early twenties, he sees that trees are not only an economic expedite but a way for us humans to continue to prosper and lead a healthy life. In his talk, he discusses the overarching problem and the adverse effects and eventually proposes a solution that, if implemented, would save countless lives! With his captivating way of speech deliverance and confidence, this Talk will be eye-opening for everyone! He is in the final year of his undergraduate studies in international relations, specializing in security and strategic studies at the American University of Kurdistan (AUK). He is passionate about the power of social media and its capacity to shape discourse and build understanding. He engages widely on issues that transcend borders in the Middle East, including youth empowerment, climate change effects, saving trees, the environment, and sports. He volunteers with local charity organizations and helps raise funding for schools, orphanages, and children's hospitals. Areen is also currently involved in a start-up incubator to help provide shared space and services to budding entrepreneurs. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, swimming, and horse riding.
