When Cheyenne was 14-years old, she felt pulled to go to church. She began to build relationships in her congregation and started making church a priority. 02:10 - Cheyenne was known as the “Jesus Girl” at school! During her Junior year of High School, she started getting to know some members of the LDS Church. She went to Youth Conference and stake dances and eventually attended church. 04:15 - Cheyenne asked her pastor what Mormons believed. The pastor told her things that made her a little more skeptical about the church. 05:54 - For the first time, Cheyenne felt and recognized the Spirit while at Girl’s Camp. 06:25 - The leaders of Cheyenne’s church dismissed her feelings of the spirit and she stopped going to the LDS church. 07:42- Cheyenne shares about when she had taken lessons from the missionaries for the first time. Fast forward a little bit, Cheyenne was in Sunday School and disagreed with some of the teachings about the priesthood so she confronted the bishop who then taught her about the restoration. 09:35 - Cheyenne again felt the spirit, but this time about the Plan of Salvation. 11:00 - Cheyenne talked to her pastor about wanting to join the LDS Church. He then questioned her decision and told her to distance herself from the LDS Church. 13:25 - Cheyenne felt like many people at her church looked down on her. But she was asked to be a leader at Vacation Bible School. On her way back from VBS, she saw a LDS Church and decided to go in for a church meeting. 16:00 - Cheyenne met someone at church and told them her story. He validated her feelings of the spirit and knew what she had to do. 17:20 - Cheyenne went to Sacrament meeting and felt a further confirmation of the truthfulness of the gospel as found in the LDS Church. She began meeting with the missionaries again. 19:10 - Cheyenne gets baptized!!! 20:17 - Cheyenne’s family struggled with her decision when they learned of her decision to be baptized. 22:00 - Cheyenne decides to serve a mission! 23:05 - Cheyenne decided to go public with her decision to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ. 23:15 - People from Cheyenne’s previous church began to reach out to Cheyenne to warn her against the LDS Church. Cheyenne felt isolated and afraid. 26:15 - Cheyenne leaves on her mission and LOVES IT! 26:40 - Cheyenne bears her testimony.
