Guide to the first boss (Onubek) in Sandstorm Temple. Attack Pattern: 1. Blockable 4-hit attack. 2nd & 4th hit dazes. 2. Unblockable 2-hit breath attack. 3. 3-Tier AoE. Hits inner, middle, and then outer. 4. Front/Black/Front linear attack. 5. Attack pattern repeats. Mechanics: Normal Mode 80%/30%, Hard Mode 90%/60%/30% 1. Jumps to the centre of the room, causing knockback when he lands. 2. Shockwave AoE. 3. Multiple room AoEs (8 times). 4. Sand Trap message = targets furthest for chain attack. 5. Share with 2 people, 1 stack each of annihilation. 6. Boss tries to room AoE, CC to stop. 7. Immobilizes everyone besides the 3 people with annihilation. 8. Does more AoEs, CC bar is opened (optional CC). 9. Hourglass buff is current on the boss, track it and knock down the boss when the buff disappears. 10. Everyone gets the Self Defense Chi buff if you did the KD. 11. Boss AoEs again, CC to stop. 12. Final AoE attack is negated if you have the Self Defense Chi buff. Special Attack: Normal Mode 55%, Hard Mode After 30% 1. Jumps to the centre of the room and creates a shock wave AoE. 2. Pulls everyone and does multiple AoEs. 3. Targets two furthest players and launches a persistent linear attack. 4. Resumes attack pattern if in Normal Mode. 5. Does an extra phase of annihilation if in Hard Mode.
