Bajaj Foundation’s Jamnalal Kaniram Bajaj Trust (JKBT), in collaboration with Padma Shri Dr. Subhash Palekar, has organized an impactful 3-day training program on Subhash Palekar Krushi (SPK) in SIkar, Rajasthan. The event, taking place at the historic Khatu Shyam Mandir from 4th to 6th October 2024, is hosting over 1,000 farmers from over 13 Indian states along with some sugarcane farmers associated with Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Limited’s 14 Sugarmills in Uttar Pradesh. Dr. Subhash Palekar, a pioneer of natural farming, is guiding participants through his revolutionary methods patented under ‘Subhash Palekar Krushi’, which enables farmers to produce healthy, chemical-free crops while maintaining the fertility of the soil. The training program aims to educate farmers on the importance of moving away from harmful chemical-based agriculture and embracing a self-reliant, eco-friendly way of farming that not only reduces the cost of chemical fertilizers for the farming families but also enhances soil health and biodiversity. Most importantly it ensures that we move towards a mass revolution of healthy, vitamins and minerals rich natural crops that boost health benefits for our current and future generations. Through this initiative, Bajaj Foundation continues its mission to build a healthy and sustainable agricultural future, supporting Indian farmers to adopt natural farming practices and improve their livelihoods.
