I have been working on this project for the past three years, and now it has produced the result I was hoping for. I have finally beaten the world record! I say it in this very specific way because this is not a human run and does not qualify to hold the world record, but it is still a major accomplishment to have surpassed the best results that a human has achieved to date. The full category for this run - if it was formalized - would be "FFX CSR% VI-TAS set seed". This means we beat the game with the Cutscene Remover (csr) via Virtual Intelligence tool assisted speedrun (VI-TAS, very different from traditional TAS) with a set RNG seed so that the results will be more or less the same from one run to the next (thus set seed). The closest equivalent on the human leaderboard would be FFX csr%, but in order to get the other elements would take a good amount of luck to get randomness to line up with the results we got here. Next goal, move from csr% to any% and see if the results are similar.
