This song uses the Key C Rhythm and flow make playing music sound amazing. This lesson you get to work on both. Say the rhythm before playing as you need to get this groove into your body. RHYTHM Ta Taka Ta Ta Ta KaTa (watch video to get the groove) If you have a looper have fun trying to get the loop smooth. Remember timing is so important for looping. Tips for timing Rock your body while playing. Tap your foot to the beat. There are lots of loopers so do some research for what suits you. I use a voice live 3 extreme by tc helicon. For a more simple looper checkout Boss loopstation RC-1 Record yourself on a device like your phone. My iPhone has voice memos app which you just press record and then stop when finished. Listening to yourself play is one of the best lessons. Don’t be hard on yourself as over time you will listen back to these recordings and hear how much you have progressed. Now time to JAM….. Best advice is to memorise and get smooth flow with playing licks. Hear are the licks from this video. Lick 1. -4 -3 4 -3 Lick 2. -3 -2 2 -2 Joining these licks for fast smooth lick. -4 -3 4 3 -3 -2 2 -2 Lick 3. -4 5 6 Lick 4. -6 -7 -6 6 5 -4 (I made a mistake on the video and wrote these licks as 4 & 5) When you memorise you can jam. Listen to my playing as there are a few extra licks in there which you can try and workout using your ears.
