Today, I have a lovely, Beginner Level knitted shawl pattern to share with you, and it's inspired by a sweet memory I have of my dad. Gradient Sea is a warm and cozy, oversized shawl that features beautifully simple Seed Stitch and Staggered Rib Stitch, as well as easy color changes. It's a flowing, multicolored shawl design that can be adjusted to suit your preferences. Turn it into a scarf or even a blanket! So grab your yarn and needles, and then follow along with this video to make your own gorgeous shawl. In this video, I demonstrate all of the stitches that you'll need to know to knit this design, while making a miniature version. I'll also tell you about the fond inspiration that motivated me to design this pattern for you! Gradient Sea uses our earthy and homey Twisted Tweed yarn. This unique yarn includes two types of wool that are twisted together. Because they take the dye differently, the result is a cool, barber pole effect! And gold, plum, and brown Donegal Tweed neps are flecked throughout. It is made with 43% Superwash Merino Wool, 42% Fine Merino Wool, and 15% Donegal. The sample shawl was made with our Nougat, Sea Grey, and Sea Blue colors. You'll need one skein of each color. Our sample used 1080 yards (988 m) total: Color A: 360 yds (330 m), Color B: 360 yds (330 m), and Color C: 360 yds (330 m). The pattern is easily adaptable, but may require additional yardage.
