#OctopusEnergy #OcotopusAgile #OctopusGoAndGoFaster In this video I’m going to be sharing with you our experience on Octopus Agile over the last year and compare this to our time on the Go tariff and why you’d want to seriously think twice about being on a fixed tariff. Timestamps: 00:00 - Intro 00:50 – How Agile And Go work 02:52 – Our Typical Electricity Use 03:34 - Our Year on Agile vs Go vs Fixed 08:26 – Why Tariff Next and Why? NEW to Octopus Energy? You can get an EXTRA £50 using the link below: https://share.octopus.energy/nice-hip... *UPDATE September 2021* Given the rising wholesale costs, the peak rates for Go and Go Faster have increased. These are fixed tariffs, so if you're already on the tariff your price won't go up for the remainder of your contract. The off-peak is the same as it was. The peak price is the same as the rate you'd be if you were on their fixed tariff, still making a saving compared with the standard fixed tariffs. The new day price in each region is (including VAT): A: 24.255 (Eastern England) B: 23.772 (East Midlands) C: 23.7615 (London) D: 25.872 (Merseyside and Northern Wales) E: 24.2235 (West Midlands) F: 23.394 (North Eastern England) G: 23.7195 (North Western England) H: 24.1395 (Southern England) J: 24.801 (South Eastern England) K: 24.4545 (Southern Wales) L: 25.0845 (South Western England) M: 23.415 (Yorkshire) N: 24.318 (Southern Scotland) P: 24.6855 (Northern Scotland) If you have a Secure SMETS1 or SMETS2 smart meter which Octopus can receive the half hourly consumption data from you can sign up directly with Octopus Go (5p/kWh for 4 hours between 00:30 and 04:30). If you don’t have a Secure SMETS1 or SMETS2 smart meter you will need to sign up temporarily on a fixed or tracker tariff and then request to switch to Go through your online account or Go Faster by sending the email as below once your smart meter is installed and Octopus have confirmed they are receiving your half hourly consumption data . Octopus introduced a tariff, Go, especially aimed at Electric Vehicle owners, which gives a 4 hours of cheap electricity (5p/kWh) each night from 00:30-04:30, and then a fixed peak price for the rest of the day (this depends on the region). The Go tariff has been particularly popular and increasingly so given the recent increase of electricity prices on the Agile tariff. They have since created a range of tariffs, called Go Faster, in which users can choose either 3, 4 or 5 hours of cheap electricity at a specific time with options starting from 20:30. - Who are Octopus Energy?
