These are fixed tariffs, so if you're already on the tariff your price won't go up for the remainder of your contract. The off-peak is the same as it was. The peak price is the same as the rate you'd be if you were on their fixed tariff, still making a saving compared with the standard fixed tariffs. If you don’t have a Secure SMETS1 or SMETS2 smart meter you will need to sign up temporarily on a fixed or tracker tariff and then request to switch to Go through your online account or Go Faster by sending the email as below once your smart meter is installed and Octopus have confirmed they are receiving your half hourly consumption data . Octopus introduced a tariff, Go, especially aimed at Electric Vehicle owners, which gives a 4 hours of cheap electricity (5p/kWh) each night from 00:30-04:30, and then a fixed peak price for the rest of the day (this depends on the region).
