TRF GALA 2019 / Tim & Amy Cantor Legacy Award Speech

Tim and Amy Cantor were honored with the 2019 Legacy Award for their advocacy with the Tyler Robinson Foundation. TRF helps to strengthen families financially and emotionally as they cope with the tragedy of a pediatric cancer diagnosis by offsetting out-of-pocket life expenses. Years ago, Tim Cantor worked directly with children suffering from cancer - painting and drawing with them as a distraction from their adversity. The experience was emotionally profound for the artist, and always stayed firmly at the top of his compassion. When he partnered with Imagine Dragons in 2015, creating the artistic direction for the Smoke & Mirrors album and tour, the band shared their experience with Tyler Robinson. Tim and Amy had an immediate understanding, and very much wanted to help in anyway they could. Each year, Tim Cantor donates his art and abilities to the foundation to raise funds. He and Amy humbly accepted this acknowledgement, yet regard that they are simply a face to help spread the word for the true heroes; the families and children that fight this unfair battle.
