Modern policing demands a modern approach to business intelligence. Policing is no longer just the business of public safety, it requires the ability to respond to scrutiny with data insights that are transparent, operational & authoritative. As data volumes continue to grow across numerous disparate sources, data warehousing and visualization are more critical than ever to help institutions see through the vast fog of data. In this session we will discuss how we developed a business intelligence tool referred to as the Data Analytics Platform (DAP) utilizing Tableau for data visualization and reporting and SQL Server for data management.
