We talk about the wonderful experience it has been growing these beauties. They tend to be fast growers and historically ancient by the true meaning of the word. They first appeared when the planet was much different than today and have adapted and in some cases been a source of adaptation of their ecosystem. They love water and being fed and tend to flush out with lots of new growth every spring which I prune back in the fall when the leaves have fallen. There are do's and don'ts but as a rule nothing harder than resisting temptation. Excellent tree for those new to bonsai as they are pretty forgiving and are not easily over watered.I've seen them growing outdoors as far south as Mexico and as far north as Michigan.
