Who Dares Wins Series 2, Episode 3 - Channel 4, 1985

By a remarkable coincidence, I unknowingly uploaded the first episode of the first series of Who Dares Wins on the 40th anniversary of its first broadcast. In the spirit of this, I then uploaded all eight episodes of the first series on its 40th anniversary. However, rather than wait 16 months to upload the second series, due to requests from YouTube users, I will be uploading it in the next few weeks. This is Episode 3 of series 2, first shown on 16th November 1985. This was one of the first ever sketch series on Channel 4 and arguably its best of the 1980s. Starring Julia Hills, Tony Robinson, Philip Pope, Rory McGrath and Jimmy Mulville. As its opening titles suggest, it was aimed at a young, post-pub audience, and so went out in the late evening. For those interested in this aspect of the TV industry, the production company which made this series was called Holmes Associates. This somehow evolved into Hat-Trick, which was run by Jimmy Mulville and his then wife Denise O'Donoghue, and co-owned with Rory McGrath, who was later bought out. Hat-Trick effectively took over as producers of subsequent series, even though the closing card reads Who Dares Wins Productions.
