Beethoven Piano Concerto no 3- Manoush Ruken Toth - Ricardo Castro & NEOJiBA Orchestra

Beethoven's Timpani stroke in Brazil - the NEOJIBA project. Live Record of the concerto 2022-09-07, Salvador de Bahìa, Brasil, in the Teatro Castro Alves (with over 1'600 persons). Piano - Manoush Ruken Toth (*2006, Santa Cruz de La Palma, Spain & Switzerland) conductor - Ricardo Castro Neojiba Orchestra The concerto was part of the tour "200 years of independence", celebrating as well the liberation of Brasil, as 15 years NEOJIBA. It went through the capitals of Europa and got throughout standing ovations from the delighted audience. Manoush played the concert in Salvador, taking over the concert from Maria Joao Pires, who played in Europa the part of Beethoven Concerto no3. In the afternoon of the same day Manoush Toth played one more concert with an other piece of Mozart: together with Ricardo Castro and Neojiba she played Mozart Klavierkonzert no 10. Have a look here... Neojiba is a project founded 15 years ago by Ricardo Castro together with a highly dedicated team. (special thank to Eduardo, Renata, Jordana, Marcus, Mariella). Salvador is one of the cities in Brazil with the highest crime rate. 80% of the city consists of favelas. Disadvantaged children from favelas receive free music lessons and meals. They are equipped with the necessary instruments and accompanied for years. Thus, over the years, amazing islands of peace and social security have formed in an extremely challenging environment full of crime and hopelessness. Music is the result of connectedness - what music holds together at its core is also palpable as the philosophy of the Neojiba Orchestra. These young people overcame their unjust and ornate fate, becoming beacons of hope in a society scarred by the scandal of poverty, to proclaim Beethoven's vibrant message of individual freedom and dignity like a Timpani stroke The magnificent NEOJIBA-ORCHESTRA is one of the best youth orchestras we know, and as part of this even more magnificent social project based on musical education and generosity of the leaders involved, inspired by El Sistema de Jose Antonio Abreu, Venezuela, we adore it deeply. We wholeheartedly recommend supporting the NEOJIBA project financially or with instruments by contacting the project through the website: www.neojiba.org
