AMY WINEHOUSE & PAUL WELLER - 'Don't Go to Strangers' - 2006 - BEST AMY MOMENTS

I have scoured the internet for Amy's Best moments... and as I recall, 2006 seemed to be her most golden year... and she was particularly great on her UK television appearances. This is Amy doing a duet with the legendary Paul Weller, singing the song 'Don't Go to Strangers'. Her style and tone was uncomparable here, in my opinion. And it's been important for me, as a Londoner about town at that time, that I remember her this way. I like to think that Paul was singing this song TO Amy... as the older, more seasoned guy in the toxic soup that is showbiz... and I often wonder what could have changed her fate. Perhaps, if she had heard the advisory he was singing to her... and if she had done as he said and not gone to strangers with her struggles, as she did, ie drug dealers and other artist self saboteurs, and instead turned to someone more like him... perhaps under a wing of protection, she might've made it past 27... and what a powerhouse she would be by now. Tell me what you think in the comments. So, this is my favorite Amy Winehouse performance, I have 3 fave momets of Amy and I'll be uploading them to keep them close and held in remembrance. Build your dreams To stars above But when you need someone to love Don't go to strangers My darling, come to me Play with fire Get your fingers burned But when you got no where left to turn Don't go to strangers My darling come to me But when you hear that call to follow your heart You'll follow your heart, I know I've been through it all But I'm an old hand And I'll understand if you go So make your mark For your friends to see But when you need more than company Don't go to strangers My darling, come to me
