Gluten Free Snack| Nimki/Mathari/Namak para|Air fried snack |Diet snack |Less oil |No Maida/No wheat

Today's recipe is that of a Gluten free snack which is very tasty and easy to make!! It's called Nimki/ Mathari or Namak para in India!! It's a great tea time snack or something you can munch on whenever you feel like having something crispy and tasty! It can be used to prepare papdi chaat or can be used to add crunch in your salads just like cruton's!! We are making a healthier version of it by air frying them or baking them by using very less oil! So, let's check the ingredients and the Recipe!! . Ingredients 1 cup Gluten free flour 2 tsp oil Salt Ajwain/ Carom seeds Water Mixing bowl . Method: In a mixing bowl add 1 cup of GF flour , and then add salt to taste, 1 tsp Carom seeds/ Ajwain, and 2 tsp oil Mix the oil and other ingredients well to get a crumb like texture Now add little water at a time and knead the dough, (remember: Do not add more water in one go as gluten free flour soaks less water,so it can easily become very soft) *Keep kneading the dough till it all comes together. Then add around 1/2tsp oil and knead it till it becomes smooth and let it rest for 10-15 minutes Now make golf size balls out of it Take one golf size ball and smoothen it out in between your palms with help of very little oil and start rolling it out in form of a chapati/roti or flat bread with the help of a rolling pin. We need not too thin nor too thick flat bread Cut out into your desired shape (circle/diamond or rectangular), whichever shape you like. You can deep fry these as well but in case of deep frying you need to prick small holes into it with the help of a fork or knife in order to avoid them from getting Puffed up while frying. You can brush little oil on the prepared snacks if you want crispy texture while baking them in the air fryer ( this is optional) Pre heat your air fryer for 5mins at 160°c Arrange the prepared snack in the basket (avoid overlapping) Close the basket Bake for 5min first at 160°c then check and again bake for 7-8 mins at 160°c Let them cool down and you can store them in an air tight container for 10-15days . Enjoy !! Do try and give us your feedback!! . Tips: #You can deep fry them as well #You can also bake them in a normal conventional oven if you don't have an air fryer Link of my Multipurpose Gluten free flour mix is as follows--- .    • Home Made Gluten Free multipurpose Fl...   .
