Trouble in Paradise! Recent LP Reissue Disasters from Sade, Duran Duran, Soundgarden & Pearl Jam...

In response to viewer requests, today I'm talking about a selection of recent new LP purchases of albums reissued within the last year or so that have failed to reach what I'd consider the minimum standard for an LP, that it sounds better than the CD. First up in this video I'll be discussing the 2023 release of Sade's studio catalogue: 'This Far'. I purchased this boxed set on release last year, but now the individual albums are going on sale. So, before you head out to buy what really should be a sublime example of the recorded music art, do make sure you watch this video! Next up are the 2024 Duran Duran remasters. As with the Sade, these ought to be spectacular: half-speed mastered at Abbey Road, once upon a time a name synominous with impeccable quality. But can we still say the same today? And rounding off this batch of disappointment are a brace of Grunge classics, whilst not as monumentally awful as the above mentioned abominations, they are still way behind what I consider they ought to be.
