Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Timbren off-road bump stops. These are going to be for the rear of your vehicle and this is a custom fit for the 2017 through the current or 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor. These are going to help to provide a little bit of extra support for that back suspension in your Raptor. They are designed to be stronger than your OEM bump stops and they are constructed of a natural rubber compound. So basically they are just going to absorb and cushion the road shocks that you typically get out on the trail, especially if you're going to be going off road. It's going to engage more quickly than your typical bump stop and provide that cushioning support. So it's going to still give you a lot of travel for your axle, but it's going to engage more smoothly and give you that cushioning field to support your suspension. This does have a capacity of 2,000 pounds. That doesn't mean that it increases your weight carrying capacity in your Raptor. It's just there to support that much weight across all your OEM suspension components. It's pretty easy to get installed. We'll just have to remove your old bump stop, put the new one in place. There's a bolt that goes through the bottom and there's a little washer that's captured inside this spring, so you have to kind of thread it through there and then it screws into the top bracket and then there's a second bolt that goes up through the bracket and then into a factory weld nut on your vehicle's frame. To get those bolts installed, they do need to have a hex or an Allen key, so this is going to work with either five 16th of an inch or with an eight millimeter Allen wrench. It doesn't come with that, so you will have to provide that on your own, but just when you keep it in mind there. No cutting or drilling required, pretty simple, just take out the old one, pop in the new guy, and then you're ready to go. It does have a lifetime warranty and a satisfaction guarantee and should do a good job of supporting that suspension. But that's going to do it for our look at the Timbren active off-road bump stops.
