Most people know the actor Alex Høgh Andersen as the rough and crippled Viking son, Ivar the Boneless, in the HBO TV series VIKINGS. Or one of the many other major film productions he, despite his young age, has been involved in. But few people know that he is actually a very active photographer, with an excellent eye for portraying both people, animals, and landscapes. In the spring of 2023, he was, by virtue of his title as an ambassador for the NGO 'Gate to Nature' in Bali, where they had to follow the work of the preservation of corals and the protection of newborn turtle hatchlings. It was a trip that was to result in a series of underwater images, good enough to make into posters to be sold to benefit the work. There was just one problem... Alex had no diving certificate and had never photographed underwater... Hear the interview about how it all went and gain insight into the fun discipline: "Underwater photography". The Interview is conducted by Lars Stenholt Kirkegaard, that owns the company: FOTOGRAFIT.eu (underwater imaging & light) Lars is a commercial photographer by trade and a graphics expert and long-time diver and underwater photographer. For many years he ran the Scandinavian Dive Magazine, and now makes a living selling underwater photography equipment, to all sorts of divers, both new divers, commercial divers, and armed forces.
