Follow me on:   / bahadorhadizadeh     / bhzpictures     / bahador-hadizadeh-13aa81b8   Gisha is the name of one of the neighborhoods of Tehran located in District 2 of Tehran, which is limited to Chamran Highway from the east, Sheikh Fazlollah Nouri Highway from the west, Hakim Highway from the north and Jalal Al-Ahmad Highway from the south. Guisha (Persian language: گیشا, also called Kuy-e Nasr کوی نصر), originally Kisha (from the names of its two founders, Keynejad and Shapourian) is a neighbourhood in Tehran, Iran. The neighborhood was known as a center for youth recreation, shopping, and dating. Guisha is home to the marketplace, Bazaar-e Nasr (بازار نصر). Iranian Bank of Agriculture is also headquartered in Guisha. Gisha is located at an altitude of 1300-1400 meters. The naighborhood has regular even and odd street numbers, modeled after Manhattan New York City street numbering, which has a total of 41 even and odd streets. Gisha was one of the first dormitories to be equipped with an urban ego system and urban gas lines in the 1950s, and had a local water treatment plant. Darakeh river leads to Gisha (Fazel) canal and deviates to the west of Tehran.
