1988 Bathurst 1000 - Channel 7 commentators blast FISA officials live on air

The 1988 Bathurst 1000 was a part of the FIA's Asia-Pacific Touring Car Championship and was subject to FISA regulations. Following the controversial World Touring Car Championship round the previous year in which the top two finishers were disqualified due to a technicality, the 1988 race was marred by constant technical protests and counter-protests that meant the race was run under a cloud as far as results went. In this clip Channel 7 commentators Mike Raymond, Garry Wilkinson and Doug Mulray expose the behind-the-scenes calamities caused by the second-straight year of a FISA-run Bathurst 1000 live on air in the middle of the race, introduced by an earlier run-in with officialdom for driver-commentator Neil Crompton.
