Prison Documentary Cradle To Jail: Carlton & Paradise - Looking Back & An Update After Life in Juvie

In this extended video we look back at the cases of Paradise and Carl as they serve time behind the razor wire fences of juvenile detention. When we met Carl, his time in detention was almost over. The juvenile court had sentenced him to "Boys School," which meant he was on his way to juvenile prison. Juvenile prison is considered the last stop/last chance in the juvenile system before kids commit crimes that get them waived to adult court. Meanwhile, Paradise is spending her final days in detention thinking about what life will be like where the judge is sending her -- a placement facility. As we watched their dramatic stories play out on screen, we were with Carl the day he made his nervous transfer to juvenile prison, and watched as he went through the intake process. We also look back at the teacher who drove Carl to the prison, juvenile detention teacher Mr. Brett, who was a former NBA player who decided he wanted to make a difference in kids' lives.
