Steven Adams - Super Skilled Center 17/18

Steven Adams absolutely abuses people under the rim. NBA players are among a collection of the best athletes and some of the biggest guys in the world, but that doesn’t matter to Adams. He just discards dudes under the basket as he rips or swims through to rebounds. Statistically speaking, Adams tied with Enes Kanter in terms of leading the league in offensive rebounding percentage. He had a career year last year, posting a personal best numbers for points per game (13.9), rebounds (9.0), assists, steals, minutes, and field goal percentage. He’s a grossly underrated playmaker, his touch around the basket is totally underrated, and he is easily one of the toughest (but not fake tough) in the league. He’s not afraid to mix it up and get physical, but he never goes overboard. According to an article by Zach Lowe (link below), the Thunder finished second only to Milwaukee (and their unreal length) in terms of allowing the fewest transition opportunities. Steven’s ability to grab offensive rebounds with sacrificing transition defense - by virtue of the sometimes single-handed (pun intended) ravaging of rebounds Adams so often does - allows everyone to get back on D. Anyway, I made this because Steven is one of my favourite guys to watch. Whether it’s his brutal screen setting or something clever that will totally go unnoticed, like how he is always talking to his guys (watch any of his Mic’d up clips) and is practically begging them to use his drag screens, or just breaking up “fights” where everyone is doing the whole “hold me back” but never actually doing anything, Steve is a must-watch. These are just higlights from the 2017-18 season. If you want a collection of highlights from BEFORE that, here:    • Steven Adams - Super Skilled Center   http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/22...
