Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune is now ten years old. It's been ten years since this game came out. What is life. Anyhow, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune has always been one of my favourite games and I’m excited to share my thoughts on it in this video that I have been planning on making for a few months now. The ‘pretty crazy’ part in the first few minutes is a good example. Maybe I need to get a new microphone. The video you will be watching is a ‘retrospective critique/commentary’ on Drake’s Fortune. Even though it is a ‘critique/commentary’, most everything said in the video is my own opinion. You’re allowed to disagree with the things I said, but hopefully I’ve done a good job of balancing my own opinion and being as fair as possible. This will most likely be my last video for a few months. I’m finishing up with school stuff soon, so if I do make another video, expect it around December-February. My next video will most likely be about Tomb Raider 2013, or, I think, the 13th Tomb Raider game, if you want to make it less confusing. Reason for this is because I just recently bought Rise of the Tomb Raider and really want to try it out. So it makes sense to replay the 2013 one and maybe make a video on it. No guarantees at this point, but I feel like I’d have a lot to say about that game. This video was also a pain in the ass to make, writing wise - I always find the editing enjoyable once I’ve finished up on tweaking the audio and lining everything up. As mentioned in the video, this is my toughest script to date. It was not very fun to write, for the first few hours. I struggled with the script a lot. Luckily, I managed to get in contact with Joseph Anderson, who I imagine a lot of you already know. I simply messaged him and asked if there were any tips he could give me, to which he responded with a few ideas, in the form of his Patreon Q&A documents, which I’ve linked above. There was a lot of helpful information, but the one that really helped me with writing was keeping to a schedule. So I just set two alarms for the next day and wrote for 45 minutes for each session. Even if it was shit, I just wrote. I’m very grateful for his help, as this video probably would’ve turned out a lot worse, but it didn’t feel right to mention it in the video itself.
