Welcome to my new Playlist – La Femme Nikita Music Highlights In this episode Nikita is framed and arrested for a crime she did not commit. She was sent to a top secret organisation called Section One and was told that she was now in row 8, plot 30 at the cemetery and was not to reveal her real identity to anybody. If she didn’t comply, she would really end up in row 8, plot 30. If she survived two years of training she would be an operative. La Femme Nikita was a television series that was adapted from the original French movie. The series was filmed in Canada and it ran from January 1997 to March 2001. The 96 episode series was focused on a secret service type organisation called Section One. The show was exciting, action-packed, had an impossible love story, and featured some excellent music. The regular cast members were Peta Wilson (Nikita), Roy Dupuis (Michael), Alberta Watson (Madeline), Eugene Robert Glazer (Operations), Don Francks (Walter), and Matthew Ferguson (Birkhoff). There were also a number of other recurring characters. Sadly Alberta Watson passed away in 2015, and Don Francks passed away in 2016. RIP. There is still plenty of information about the show available on the internet, and it may be available at a streaming service. I have the original DVDs so doing this playlist is a good reason to watch the episodes again for the millionth time. Yes, I exaggerated a little bit. Maybe it’s the hundredth time. The plan is to highlight one or two songs from each of the episodes that feature commercially available music. Some episodes only have the original compositions of Sean Callery so I will not be featuring those episodes. I will do my best to find an official video, if not I will try to find a clip from the show where the song is used. Some videos might only be short snippets of a song. It just depends on what I can find, but I will include the links for all the videos I feature. No granny awards here on this playlist. The clips used n this video are listed below.
