Sounds a bit odd considering if we knew what we were doing we wouldn't be seeking advice. The reality is that we need to continue seeking information, knowledge and wisdom from other people, but we shouldn't let it into our lives unless it truly agrees with us. That means we have to be able to trust ourselves enough to know what we need, and what we should disregard. When I was younger, I would eat up anything anyone told me. What needed to change was that I had to begin thinking critically. That meant I had to devote energy into figuring out if their advice was going to be good for me or not. Always remember that your gut instincts have value, and the advice that comes from the outside needs to become your own before it can truly help.
