Best battle theme? Best battle theme. --------------------------------------------- Rules: No deaths (obviously) No items (including in-battle uses of certain items, like rings) No pre-set Djinni (to prevent turn 1 summons) --------------------------------------------- Isaac: --Equipment-- Weapon: Elven Rapier (Base attack +44, deals Jupiter damage based on user's Jupiter power and target's Jupiter resistance, 35% chance to unleash Vorpal Slash) Unleash effect: Adds 16 damage to base attack value, then calculates damage like usual. Body: Psynergy Armor (Base defense +21, base PP +20) Shirt: None Head: Open Helm (Base defense +9) Hands: Bronze Shield (Base defense +14) Boots: None ---Djinn-- Fizz (Heals 60% of max HP) Sleet (Adds 30 to base attack value, then deals Mercury damage with a chance of lowering the target's Attack by 25%) --Stats-- Level: 15 Class: Defender Health: 201 PP: 89 Attack: 140 Defense: 91 Agility: 66 Luck: 4 (These are his stats/class when all the listed Djinn are set. If one or more go on standby then these will change as shown in the Djinn menu during battle.) --------------------------------------------- Enemy stats: --Saturos-- Health: 1200 PP: 160 Attack: 113 Defense: 35 Agility: 51 Luck: 40 Saturos is a force to be reckoned with. He has 2 very powerful Mars Psynergies that can spell (no pun intended) the end of Isaac if you don't manage his health well enough. Fireball pummels Isaac for around 80 damage, and Eruption will easily deal over 100, leading to an early death if he is anywhere below half health. --------------------------------------------- About the battle: I threw in Cutting Edge here and there in this fight. It deals very respectable damage for the cost, and coupled with the increased PP I'm getting from the Psynergy Armor, I can afford to be a bit more liberal with PP usage. It's also a fairly nice scouting move in case you're unsure what Saturos is going to do next, since it doesn't have the same level of commitment as a Djinn. It can screw you over though in case you end up in a situation where you can't heal yourself. Sleet deals a bit more damage than Cutting Edge and also builds up to Nereid which is invaluable in this fight, so prioritizing him over CE whenever possible is a good idea. Since Saturos has some really strong moves, healing and knowing when to heal is very important. Thankfully, this class has access to healing at almost all times. When both Mercury Djinn are Set, you have Ply. If Sleet is on Standby, you have Fizz. If both are on Standby, you have the Cure Psynergies. The most dangerous situation is when Isaac is low on health and only Fizz is on standby, because then Isaac can't heal himself due to the restrictions. At this point, if you're within Eruption's kill range, you'd better hope Saturos uses his dinky regular attack or Heat Flash instead. Speaking of Heat Flash, the delusion it causes might seem like an issue at first but the ailment only affects regular attacks, not Psynergies or Djinn, so as long as you stick to either of those you'll be fine. 1:20 looks like a misplay since Saturos used Eruption right after I healed myself with Fizz. However, since Isaac's class changes when he only has 1 Mercury Djinn Set, his max HP decreases. Had I used Sleet at that point, Isaac's health would've dropped below 100 and Eruption would've killed him, no question. Truth be told, I had no idea Eruption was coming, I just wanted Fizz to be the first Djinn to become Set after summoning Nereid so that I'd have quick access to healing in case Saturos used Eruption after I'd healed myself with Cure Well. As far as I know, there's no way to tell when he'll use Eruption. I basically went with my gut feeling and got it right most of the time. I could've finished him off with Nereid before healing myself at the very end, but I wasn't sure it would kill since I'd long since lost track of how much damage I'd done. Better safe than sorry, as they say. Kinda wanted a Cutting Edge finish for style points though, heh. --------------------------------------------- Links Twitter: / pyrehavoc Stream: / pyrehavoc
