You all have been requesting some Gojira guitar lessons here on Weekend Wankshop for a while now, and episode 204 seems like the perfect time for Uncle Ben to break down one of my favorites.... Ocean Planet from From Mars to Sirius! This is one of those riffs that has ZERO accurate tabs, lessons, or covers out there. A lot of time, Gojira's riffs are just more simple than a lot of people make them out to be. This riff uses one of their trademarks, simple one finger inverted power chords on the bottom strings. Its simple, but so is a sledgehammer! I watched SO MANY live videos of this to ensure that this lesson was accurate.... It may seem oddly simple, but watch live videos and you'll see exactly what i'm talking about in this main intro riff! You'll need to tune down 1 whole step to play this, D G C F A D.
