This interview has got to be the highlight of my time on YouTube so far! I dropped Eric a message on Instagram with the idea that "if you don't ask, you don't get!" As luck would have it - I got! A huge thank you to Eric for sparing his time to answer some of my rowing questions. In this interview we cover a very wide range of topics from Rowing race philosophy, rowing technique, and 2k erg technique and 2k erg plans, we also touch on the training philosophy for steady state ergs. This is just part one of a two part interview - we later went on to discuss Kiwi Pair telemetry and I got some amazing insights into what it's like to train with the New Zealand international squad! Eric's Bio Below: "Eric Murray is a two-time Olympic Champion having won gold in the coxless pair with crewmate Hamish Bond at both the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The pair teamed up in 2009 and formed what would become the most successful combinations in rowing history. Bond and Murray were unbeaten internationally from 2009 until they parted ways in 2016. The duo also holds the world record time in the event (6:08.50), set at the London 2012 Olympic Games."
