Many of those who are working have a hard time deciding weather or not to disclose their illness to a boss or coworkers. There are a LOT of things to consider (both good and bad) when it comes to how, when, or if we should openly talk about it. Many people have contacted me – asking to make a video talking about Bipolar Disorder and work. In a recent poll on Patreon, it was one of the most requested topics for future Polar Warrior videos. That being said, it's a big concern for a lot of people. This is one of those topics that is very unique to each person's situation. We all have different types of bosses, coworkers, jobs, and needs. Considering how much time a lot of us spend on the job, it's important that we have a work environment that isn't a giant trigger for us. If a job starts to affect our health, who do we talk to and when should we say something? What accommodations should we ask for and what do we do if our employer doesn't respond well? What are the pros and cons to consider in this situation? We're going to discuss all of these things and more in this week's Polar Warrior video! As always, a very warm welcome to Polar Warriors and I hope this video helps you on your journey. If you have any questions about Bipolar Disorder and would like to contact me directly, there is a link at the top of my videos to join our Community on Patreon. In addition to helping me reach more people who need help, you will have first priority with my response to messages, comments, and requests. My channel is completely dedicated to helping individuals, families, and friends who struggle with, or know someone living with Bipolar Disorder. My goal is to provide actual tools, tips, and discuss topics that can potentially help “Polar Warriors” grow to live a more balanced, peaceful, and fulfilling life. -Rob Whittaker, Polar Warriors: Bipolar Support HELPFUL LINKS & ADDITIONAL CONTENT: -ADA Website: https://www.ada.gov/ -Check out my Partner, The International Bipolar Foundation for some amazing FREE Bipolar resources: http://www.ibpf.org/ *FACEBOOK: / polarwarriors *BECOME A PATRON: / polarwarriors
