10. Not In My Back Yard

At our last public meeting we communicated that we are undertaking a series of studies in order to become better informed of the plans that our council have for our part of Auckland. In turn, our commitment is to share our findings so that, as a community we are aware of the planning process, forecasting method and general relationship between all the various plans that bring together all of the services and infrastructure that is needed to support our growth and evolution. This clearly involves the environmental implications of the changes that are sure to eventuate as our city grows and that growth is shared across its suburbs and communities. We would like to do what we can to ensure that the communities of the Peninsula are prepared for the changes that are coming, and are ready to respond thoughtfully together.
