Acne, though it is a problem that affects for a short period of time can lead to scars that retain there and stay there and cause a long term or a permanent problem for a lot of patients. One is pigmented, where the surface is not altered, but we get a colour change on the skin, it looks darker or redder than usual. The next is atrophic where the scar looks depressed. The third is hypertrophic, were he scar looks elevated above the surface of the skin.
