Chevy Silverado 1500 OBDII P0452 Bad Fuel Pressure Sensor Quick Fix

2001 Silverado 1500 LS 5.3L Check engine light came on. Pulled the OBDII codes and it was showing P0452 which means the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor is bad. It could be a faulty gas cap seal or a bad harness wire as well, but my gas cap was fine, and a bad wire is unlikely, so I just replaced the sensor. https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/... Steps 1. Wait until low fuel light comes on so tank is almost empty 2. Take off fuel tank straps, but use something to support the back end. I used a small cardboard box. 3. Reach up and over the tank, unclip the sensor hardness, then pull the sensor up and out. It's just compression fit. 4. Push the new sensor in place, being careful not to knock debris into the hole. 5. Reattach wire harness. 6. Tighten tank straps back up. 7. Clear OBDII code, fill with a few gallons, and test drive to ensure the code doesn't come back on. DISCLAIMER - I am not a certified mechanic.
