Then add unsweetened coconut, sugar and baking powder. After add crushed pineapples and juice to flour mixture. Crack your eggs in a small bowl to check them. Then beat together, after pour in with flour mixture. Continue folding together. Now mix all ingredients together with spoon or mixer with paddle, until all combined. You will need two cookie sheets with two pieces pf parchment paper, scoop out about ¼ cup of mixture and have them 1 inch apart on cookie sheet. Have all tea buns the same size, small, medium or large, then bake in a 350ºF preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes depending on your oven. Cool on wire rack or serve hot with a nice cup of tea. Bonita’s Tips: Add more sugar if you wish it sweeter, or use a low sugar. If using a mixer with hook or paddle don’t over mix the dough. Depending on the size of tea buns you can make anywhere from 12 to 21. Thank you for watching Bonita's Kitchen, and don't forget to subscribe for more Traditional Newfoundland Recipes and Cooking!
