About 500 meters upstream from the Echuca-Moama bridge, I set up with 2 bait rods and some Jan Juc worms with the hope of continuing the success I had that morning on the Campaspe River in Echuca. I had my first nibble within 2 minutes, and my first fish landed within 5 - a very promising start! With plenty of nibbles and bites keeping me entertained in between fish landed, it truly was a couple of hours well spent on the banks of the beautiful Murray river. If you want to give this spot a try yourself, you can park at Horseshoe Lagoon nature reserve and walk across the wooden bridge to the Moama Wharf, and walk upstream about 500 meters and then down to the water.
