A random pitch in an area I've been meaning to explore for years now. Great views across the moors and thankfully I was pitched out of the wind chill, but it got bitter cold as soon as that sun set. Snow flurries overnight soon froze. I was warm enough in my bag but the air in the tent was that cold it felt sharp. Not much sleep was had. Lots of condensation in the tent the next day because of the extreme cold and a lack of wind. If your tent fly freezes up over night then it also has to defrost the next day.....which causes moisture release. The OEX Rakoon is a great tent, but it's probably not best suited to temperatures like these (below freezing) because of a lack of breathability in the materials its made from.
