The wrist based HR monitor is... well, more convenient (I find that chest straps give me a rash in the summer) although "serious athletes" will tell you that it's not as accurate (I'm afraid I can't count myself in that category) and it also offers a slightly reduced set of statistics although you can still use a chest strap HRM with this model if you wish. Since June 2016 this model is available in silver/black, previously it was only available in grey/black. At over £400 at the time of writing this is an expensive piece of kit, so the big question is - Does it justify the price tag? Put simply, I would say yes, and here are my reasons for saying that.
