A comparison between basmati rice and Jasmine rice. Jasmine rice is slightly sticky when cooked whereas basmati rice is not. Jasmine rice can work for Rolling Sushi (although it is not sushi rice, see my video comparing kokuho Rose to Jasmine rice). Basmati rice is not suitable for Rolling Sushi. Basmati rice grains elongate when cooked. Not all basmati rice is created equal, as I have purchased other brands in the past and not been impressed with the taste.
