ELVIS PRESLEY - ALL 31 MOVIES MONTAGE

Clips from all 31 Elvis Presley movies - from the first scene of Love me Tender from 1956 to his last scene in Change of Habit in 1969. Edit: The reason why I used a cover of an Elvis song (Always on my mind) was that I wanted to keep the light away from Elvis as a singer and focus on him as an actor. Most people tend to forget that he was a movie star and spent more time on movie sets than on stage. The "Always on My Mind" song performed by the Pet Shop Boys was done as a tribute to Elvis on the 10th anniversary of his death (1987). I chose the song as it never had any Elvis footage connected to it and I just found it to be a very special version of the song that really brings out the larger than life feeling that Elvis was. Gathering all these clips I watched all Elvise's movies in a row and then selected the best clips. It took me about a year. My personal favourite? So hard to say. They all have their unique style and charm. Love me tender (his first movie) is a must since it's shows the "early Elvis" that broke out and became a star. Also his 2nd one "Loving you" is a classic since it brings out everything from Elvis in his early career. It's almost like they wanted to fit everything about him in that movie. "Jailhouse Rock" broke my heart, mostly because Elvis refused to watch this movie since his co-star Judy Tyler, died in a tragic accidental death in a car wreck three days after filming was completed. She never got to see the finished movie. If I could recommend anyone to watch just one Elvis movie, I'd pick "Jailhouse rock". "G.I Blues" is a fun early flick and "Roustabout" brings out a lot of edge/attitude from Elvis. The movie "King Creyole" is good, but a little dark for my taste. It really brings out the actor in Elvis. Flaming Star has my favourite song performed ("A cane and a high starched collar") "Clambake" has the coolest story. I really liked it. Reminds me of Elvis as he probably was in real life. The Prince and the pauper story is very compelling. Also this one has the best ending of all his movies. Definitely my favorite after "Jailhouse Rock". However "Change of Habit", his last movie, has a really worthy final. You can really see the glimpse of "The King" coming out. Also be sure to check out Anissa Jones running around all through the movie in "The Trouble With Girls". For you Rocky Balboa fans, Burgess Meredith (Mickey) has a very cool co-starring roll in "Stay away Joe". Now, here are my 13 of my favourite "not very known Elvis songs" that I found from watching all these 31 flicks: 1. A cane and a high starched collar 2. Beach shack 3. Didja' Ever 4. Roustabout 5. It's carnival time 6. There's A Brand New Day On The Horizon 7. He's Your Uncle Not Your Dad 8. Datin 9. Change of Habit 10. Almost 11. You don't know me 12. The girl I never loved 13. Hey little girl Here is a Spotify link to all of them: http://open.spotify.com/user/stylewar... And remember - everything you like about Elvis, inspiration and other things in life, means that you have a part of that yourself - otherwise you wouldn't be able to see it in others. Enjoy! Btw.
