C.C. Smith General Store at Pioneer Florida Museum and Village

While visiting the Pioneer Florida Museum and Village in Dade City, Florida I stopped by the old C.C. Smith General Store at the site. It is a very interesting store to experience here at the museum, it truly takes you back to another time when you step foot inside and look at all the neat things on display. The store was built in the 1920's and was donated to the museum in the year 2000. I really enjoyed my visit and meeting Valerie Elder who does tours at the general store. She is a retired school teacher and now spends time at the museum educating people about the history of the place and continues to inspire so many! If you are visiting this part of Florida be sure to stop by the museum and take in all the different sites and displays you will learn so much and have a great time. The staff and volunteers are very welcoming and nice, I had such a wonderful experience! I would like to thank them for all they do here in teaching and preserving Florida History.
