God is GREAT! A month after turning 21, I am now a college graduate with a bachelors degree in Communications and minor in Business. My family is truly my backbone and the reason I grinded to finish college a year early. My mother came here at the age of 17 from Ethiopia alone and worked her way up from working in fast food restaurants to later getting her degree and owning her own striving business, the Ethiopian Yellow Pages. She is a phenomenal humble woman who is my biggest role model. With her influence and example I decided to challenge myself as well. This last year has been so stressful with having to complete 18 credits each over the last two semesters and 16 credits last summer. Yeah, 52 credits completed over the last year. I have also landed myself a salary job in the Marketing department of a law firm in Downtown D.C. that I will begin in June. Today is a very special day for me and I can finally breathe and close this chapter in my life a year early. My parents deserve all of the glory for being so supportive and never giving up on me even when I started to doubt myself. My father is the BEST man to look up to and I couldn't have asked for a better rockstar as a father and best friend. Also I wouldn't be the man I am without the brotherhood I've built with my very very close friends who couldn't be described anything less than my brothers. My handsome intelligent brothers were always patient with me and kept me sane along this journey with all of the fun, loving memories we have made. My love for them runs deep. My winnings are their winnings.
